Commodity was brought to life by a Kickstarter campaign in 2013, a global crowdfunding campaign intent to change the fragrance industry forever. It became the first digitally native fragrance brand and redesigned fragrance with an intuitive spectrum of elemental, artisanal scents.As the modern, American perfumery relaunched into the market in 2021, it brought its original and atypical attitude along with it, by way of its “Scent Space” concept. Each Commodity fragrance became available in three different Scent Space projections—Personal, Expressive, and Bold—allowing every person the luxury of control over the projection of their scent.
